Apple Cider Vinegar for Genital Warts Treatment

Some sufferers from genital warts caused by Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) have used apple cider vinegar as a treatment to get rid of genital warts with mixed results. Some people swear by this type of treatment, claiming that it cured their warts, others report absolutely no difference in the genital lesions after a number of weeks.

For those who would like to try using apple cider vinegar as a home remedy to treat their genital warts, apply as follows:

  • Soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar once a day and tape it to the warts for a period of several hours each day (this can also be done while you’re sleeping).
  • If it becomes too uncomfortable (stinging), remove at once.
  • After removing the cotton balls, clean and moisturize the area using an antiseptic soap and a soothing body moisturizing cream.
  • Apply this treatment daily for up to three weeks, if there is no improvement; consider other possible home treatment options to remove your HPV genital warts.

How to Remove Genital Warts At Home – Home Remedies

Genital warts can be a highly uncomfortable and embarrassing STD (sexually transmitted disease). In the male the warts occur on the penis shaft, on the scrotum and in the anal area. In the female, HPV warts may occur inside the vagina, on the vulva, or in the cervix.

Here are a few of the more common home remedies for treating genital warts (besides apple cider vinegar):

  • Wartrol: Wartrol is one of the most widely used home treatments for genital warts. It comes with a brush applicator, is painted on the surface of the infected area, and acts swiftly, quickly relieving itchiness and inflammation, and attacks the warts at the root. Wartrol is formulated with natural ingredients 100% approved by the FDA.
  • Tea tree oil: This is one of nature’s best natural antiseptics, and many people believe in its inherent healing properties. Simply add a cup of tea tree oil to your hot bath each evening, lie back, and soak for around twenty minutes.

  • Bleach: Apply bleach to the warts two or three times a day with a cotton ball.
  • Castor oil: Some people swear by castor oil as a means to eliminate genital warts completely. Apply the castor oil to the warts multiple times until the warts begin to recede.
  • Fresh garlic: It may be just an old wives tale, but some people believe firmly that combining garlic with castor oil will do the trick. Method: Apply a fresh slice of garlic as an added layer on top of the castor oil, tape in place, and leave overnight. Repeat this process every night until the desired results are achieved.
  • Banana peel: Banana peel patches can be applied to the warts overnight. Many consider this as one of the most successful home therapies for genital warts.
  • Vitamin A or else beta carotene: Method – paint the genital warts with either beta carotene or vitamin A twice a day.

Although some of the above home remedies may prove to be effective in some cases, for the most part, it is advisable to rather use a properly formulated, over the counter treatment such as Wartrol.

A Final Word: Whatever treatment you decide on, it is advisable to start treatment as soon as possible after the first symptoms occur and to desist from all sexual activity, as HPV genital warts is a highly contagious STD.
